Bucket Explorer supports AWS Import service to create job for importing data into Amazon S3 Buckets in the US Standard and EU (Ireland) Regions from storage device using Amazon’s high-speed internal network and bypassing the Internet.
When your package arrives, it will be processed and securely transferred to an AWS data center. After the data load completes, the device will be returned to you.

Steps for Using AWS Import Service:
STEP 1
: You copy your data to your storage device. Make sure the file paths correspond to the key names you want to use in Amazon S3. For example, if you want your Amazon S3 key to start with images/, place your files in a directory called images. for content delivery.
STEP 2
: Create a Import Job with manifest details that specifies such things as the bucket name, device Id, erase device, returns address, ACL, key prefix etc.
Steps to create import job:

Run Bucket Explorer.

Open Add-Ins menu.

Click AWS Import Export option.

It will open list import export job window
-
Choose
Create ->Import Job
option from tool bar .

Fill Manifest Details.

If you want to add any additional fields then click on
Optional Fields
.

If you want to save your manifest details on local then checked the corresponding check box to save on local.

Click on
Create Job
button, as Import Job successfully created on AWS, then two files Manifest and SIGNATURE are saved on local at specified path.

STEP 3
: Copy the SIGNATURE file from the path you configured in AWS option to the root directory of your storage device. In case if you have lost your saved SIGNATURE file or if you don't know the exact path , you can again save the SIGNATURE file for our selected job.

Steps to Save the SIGNATURE file:

Select your Job from "
Job details
" window.

Right click on selected job and choose the option "
Get Status
".

It will open the "
Job Statistics
Panel.

"Click on "
Save Signature File
" button and select the path where you want to save the file.

Now you can copy this saved SIGNATURE file.

STEP 4
: You fill out and print the AWS Import/Export packing slip. AWS accepts only one device per package and only one job per device.
Steps to Generate Packing Slip and print the AWS Import packing slip:

Select the created job from list job table and choose
Generate Packing Slip
option from right click .

Enter
Packing Slip Details
and
Job Details
.

Click on
Generate Slip
button to view preview.

You can print the packing slip from preview.

STEP 5
: Now ship your storage device and packing slip to
AWS Shipping Address
. Make sure to include your Job Id on the shipping label. Otherwise, AWS will refuse delivery of the package at the import facility.

How to find AWS Shipping Address for your Import job-

Select the created job from list job table and choose
Get Status
option from right click.

It will show status of job .

Here you will find the AWS shipping address.

You can preview the content of Manifest file from
Show Manifest
button.
