Amazon S3 Sharing: Share S3 buckets using Bucket Explorer Team Edition

Bucket Explorer Team Edition is a powerful tool for Bucket Explorer users, who want to share buckets / data with team members using single or more S3 accounts . Administrator can give/ change/withdraw different permissions to different team members . The team members can make use of all the permitted feature of the Bucket Explorer.

  • Share Single S3 Account with multiple users :

    Bucket Explorer Team Edition works with a single S3 account and you don’t need to expose AWS credentials with every team member.

  • Refresh Team Edition UI after Every 15 Minutes (Synchronize with team.bucketexplorer.com) :

    Team Edition UI get refreshed after every 15 minutes, if administrator changes permissions of user then Team Edition UI changes according to new permissions, in between if any queue operation is running then it will continue.

  • More secure with token and password.

    For Authentication in Team Edition team members require token and password. Team Edition provides more security with token and password, user’s authentication is checked through them.

  • Recertify user :

    Re-Certification is a process by which Admin can create new set of credentials for a team member. When admin re-certifies, team.bucketexplorer.com will generate new Authentication Details for the team member and the old ID file, security token and password are invalidated.
    Remember : Team admin need to recertify when secret key for the AWS account is changed or when a team member forgets her authentication details. We recommend this to do frequently for security reasons.

  • Save Credentials :

    Team Edition provides a feature to save credentials, when you saved credentials using this option, you don’t need to provide all credentials (username, password and token) every time, it asks only for password.

  • Support all Bucket Explorer Features with appropriate permissions :

    Team Edition supports all Bucket Explorer features but what features you will see on its UI, depends on permissions given by your administrator.

  • User detail in Metadata :

    This feature provides you details of user, who has uploaded object in bucket. It will maintain the user detail in Metadata .

  • Generate Team Edition Package:

    This Feature is only for administrator which allows to generate Team Edition package for user to use Team Edition.
