Set / Remove logging for Amazon CloudFront distribution

Bucket Explorer helps you in working with CloudFront . Amazon CloudFront is a web service for content delivery. It makes it easier to distribute content to end users quickly, with low latency and high data transfer speed. Amazon CloudFront delivers your content through a worldwide network of edge locations. Now Bucket Explorer has been enhanced with CloudFront logging feature. This is the process in which the operations performed on distributed contents will be logged by Amazon. Logs are saved in the distributed bucket on which you have set logging.

Follow the steps to Enable CloudFront Logging
  1. Run Bucket Explorer.
  2. Click on Distribution button located at bucket tool bar.
  3. It will open a List Distribution window.
  4. Click on “New” for Create Distribution located at top tool bar: (supply necessary information like Bucket Name, Comment, CNAME)
  5. After creating new distribution, select any row from the list of distributions.
  6. Click on Set Logging .
  7. It will open Distribution Logging UI with title “Distribution Logging for selected Bucket name
  8. Write Prefix whatever you want and Select bucket in which you want to set logs to.
  9. Click OK , this will set the CloudFront logging for selected Bucket.

Follow the steps to Remove CloudFront Logging

  1. Run Bucket Explorer.
  2. Click on Distribution button located at bucket tool bar.
  3. It will open List Distribution window.
  4. Select any row from the list of distributions.
  5. Click on Remove Logging .
  6. It will ask you to remove logging for selected bucket.
  7. Click ‘Yes’ to remove logging from selected bucket.
