AWS Import/Export - Export S3 Object Details To CSV

You can export details of objects of the whole bucket or selected object from the bucket at your local system in CSV format. This feature includes object details such as “Size of File, Last Modification date of file, ETAG of file and Name of file” to export. This feature also allows you to distinguish all exported fields by enclosing them with desired character or by selecting the terminate character (separator) for a particular field.

Follow the steps below to export details of entire objects within a bucket using Export to CSV

  1. Run Bucket Explorer and get authenticated with your saved credentials.
  2. Select a bucket from bucket table.
  3. Right click on the bucket and select "Export to CSV" or select “Advanced” >> "Export to CSV" option from Bucket tool bar.
  4. This will open “ Export to CSV ” window.
  5. Give any character/string in "Terminated By" text field by which you want to terminate (separate) the selected fields.
  6. Enter a sequence of characters or a single character in "Enclosed By" text field with which each field value will be enclosed.
  7. Select Fields which you want to export from File Name, File Size, Etag and Last Modified Date .
  1. Select a path where you want to save the exported CSV file and give the desired name for the file.
  2. Now click on Export button.
  3. Selected fields of all the objects in your bucket have been exported at your given local machine path.

Follow the steps below to export specific object(s) details Using Export to CSV

  1. Run Bucket Explorer and get authenticated with your saved credentials.
  2. Select a bucket from bucket table. It will list the objects of that bucket.
  3. Select some object(s) from object table.
  4. Right click on the selected objects and select "Export to CSV" OR select Advanced >> Export to CSV option from object tool bar.
  5. This will open “Export to CSV” window. Set the fields as per your requirement.
  6. Give any character/string in "Terminated By" text field by which you want to terminate (separate) the selected fields.
  7. Enter a sequence of characters or a single character in "Enclosed By" text field with which each field value will be enclosed.
  8. Select fields which you want to export from File Name, File Size, Etag and Last Modified Date .
  9. Select a path where you want to save the exported CSV file and give the desired name for the file.
  10. Now click on “Export” button.
  11. Selected fields of all the selected objects in your bucket have been exported at your given local machine path.
