Filter list of objects in large Amazon S3 buckets

Bucket Explorer facilitates you with an extremely useful option to filter object and listing of objects giving full path. This option is available at object tool bar as shown below.

When you click on any bucket , it lists all objects contained in that bucket; object can be either file or a folder. By default it shows all objects in file and folder view, but there is also one option available to show the full path of any listed object.

Using this option, you can also filter your objects. In above toolbar we can see that it contain one input box and one choice box.

In input box you have to input prefix of your choice and in choice box you can specify the delimiter.

For example
list all amazon s3 objects

In above figure we are listing objects of the bucket "bucketforPicture" with full path.

Suppose if you wish to list objects that start with "a" then simply type "a" in input box against filter. Then it shows listing like this

list all filtered amazon s3 object

Now if you want to list all objects that start with "a" and delimited by "/", then use given option to avail results as below.

list all filtered amazon s3 object
