How Bucket Explorer Team Edition 2.0 Works?

Step-1 : Purchase a License for Bucket Explorer Team Edition 2.0 :

You can Try Bucket Explorer Team Edition 2.0 free for 15 days and start using it today. We will send you a subscription invoice based on number of users that you create in the control panel before the end of the trial period. When you start paying for monthly subscription, the trial account becomes a full subscription account.

Step-2 : Download Bucket Explorer Team Edition 2.0 and Generate a License Key :

On purchasing a license for Bucket Explorer Team Edition 2.0, an account is automatically created for you at Chambal.com Account. You can use this account to logon either at Chambal.com Account or at Bucket Explorer Team Edition 2.0 Control Panel to manage your subscription.  You need to provide your Access Key and Secret Access Key for managing users and Groups in your account.

Step-3 : Create Groups for Team members :

Admin first need to create Groups for adding Team members. You can add all the users which have similar set of permissions to a Group and grant the permissions for that Group. You do not need to specify permissions for each individual user.

Follow these steps to create a Group -

  1. Choose Manage Groups links. A page will open with the list of existing Groups.
  2. Click on the Create New link situated over the bottom of page.
  3. This will open a page to create new group. Enter the Group Name , select Bucket Resources and Objects Resources , on which you want to give permissions to this group.
  4. Select the checkbox corresponding to the actions. Group will have all the selected permissions.
  5. Enter comment if you want.
  6. Click on Create button to create this group.

Step-4 : Add Team Members to use Bucket Explorer Team Edition 2.0 :

If an Admin wants to use Bucket Explorer Team Edition 2.0 then she need to add herself as a user in a Group.

If you are a team admin, you need to follow these steps to add Team Members :

  1. For creating/managing user click on Manage Users .
  2. Click on Create New link at the end of the list, containing all the current users. It will open new page to add the user.
  3. For creating new user, Admin has to enter  Email Address of the user, choose Team Name , Bucket Resource or Object Resource . You can add a user into 10 different Groups at the most.
  4. Click on Create button to create new user.
  5. When the user is created, her password will be shown. Admin needs to send this password to her team member.
  6. When the user is created, a mail containing the link for Activation, is sent to the user. User has to click on the link in order to activate her account.
     

Step-5 : Run Bucket Explorer Team Edition 2.0 :

A Team member only needs BucketExplorer.exe , her email id and password   to run Bucket Explorer Team Edition 2.0.
