Step 1: Purchase a License for Bucket Explorer Team Edition.
Bucket Explorer Team Edition is currently priced only at $ 4.99 (USD) for each 5 users per month. You can
try Team Edition free for 30 days
and start using it today. We will send you a subscription invoice based on number of users that you create in the control panel before the end of the trial period. When you start paying for monthly subscription, the trial account becomes a full subscription account.
Step 2: Download Bucket Explorer Team Edition and Generate a License Key:
When you purchase a license for Bucket Explorer Team Edition, an account is automatically created for you at Chambal.com Account, using the same email address which you had used to purchase Bucket Explorer. You can use this account to logon either at
Chambal.com Account
or at
Team Edition
Control Panel to manage your subscription and to manage sub accounts for team members.
Download Bucket Explorer Desktop Edition from our download page
, and activate it using the Team Edition Activation Key, you received in email when you purchased Bucket Explorer Team Edition. Once activated, you should see a “.lic” file with your email address as part of the file name. This file is located in the same folder, where you installed / extracted Bucket Explorer. You *must* provide this “.lic” file to every team member who should be able to use Team Edition using your license keys.
Step 3: Add Team Members to use Bucket Explorer.
If you are a team admin, you need to follow these steps to add Bucket Explorer users (Team Members):
-
You need to logon to
team.bucketexplorer.com
(control panel) with your registered email address and password.
-
Click on “
Create Users
” to start adding the Bucket Explorer users.
-
After successful creation of team members, team.bucketexplorer.com will send the
Certification details
(
User Name
and
Certification
Key
) to team member’s email address.
-
And display
User Authentication
details (
TOKEN
and
PASSWORD
) on screen.
You need to communicate these authentication details to the team member. We recommend not using the same email address of team member to communicate the token & password, to which, we sent the certification key. If you send the token to same email id, which defeats the purpose of keeping them at two different places (we could have included the details in the certification email).
Important
The
Authentication details
(TOKEN
and
PASSWORD
) are not saved by team.bucketexplorer.com. If you don’t write them down when creating a new user, you will have to re-certify that user.
-
You need to provide Bucket Explorer executable and license file to your team member which was created during the activation step 2 above. We recommend that you control which version of Bucket Explorer is used by all team members and not point them directly to our download site to download the software. If every team member is using same version, it will reduce support overhead for you. That’s why we recommend that you activate the software yourself and distribute pre-activated versions to the team members. A team member only needs
BucketExplorer.exe
and BucketExplorer-your-email-id.lic files to run Bucket Explorer Team Edition. If they need to access commander, then they will also need
BucketCommander.exe
.

Step 4: Certification of Bucket Explorer Team Edition.
When you provide
BucketExplore.exe
and
BucketExplorer-your-email.lic
file to a team member, she can copy / extract those files in a folder on her machine. When Team Member executes Bucket Explorer.exe for the first time it prompts for certification. This certification is a one time task. The team member needs to know her email address which was used for creating new user in Team Edition, and the Certification Key, which was sent to the same email address when Team Edition Accounts was created.
