AWS IAM - How Bucket Explorer Team Edition Works?

Step-1: Purchase a License for Bucket Explorer Team Edition:

Bucket Explorer Team Edition is currently priced at $4.99 (USD) only for each 5 users per month. You can try Bucket Explorer Team Edition free for 15 days and start using it today. We will send you a subscription invoice based on the number of users that you create in the control panel before the end of the trial period. When you start paying for the monthly subscription, the trial account becomes a full subscription account.

Step-2: Download Bucket Explorer Team Edition and Generate a License Key:

When purchasing a license for Bucket Explorer Team Edition, an account is automatically created for you at Account.You can use this account to login either to Account or to  Bucket Explorer Team Edition Control Panel to manage your subscription. You need to provide your Access Key and Secret Access Key to manage users and Groups in your account.

Step-3: Create Groups for team members:

Admin first needs to create Groups to add team members. You can add all users who have similar set of permissions to a Group and grant the permissions for that Group. You do not need to specify permissions for each individual user.

Follow these steps to create a Group:
  1. Choose Manage Groups link. A page will open with the list of existing Groups.
  2. Click on the Create New link situated at the bottom of the page.
  3. This will open a page to create a new group. Enter the Group Name and select Bucket Resources and Objects Resources on which you want to give the permissions.
  4. Select the checkbox corresponding to the actions. Group will have all the selected permissions.
  5. Enter comment if you want.
  6. Click on Create button to create the group.

Step-4: Add Team Members to use Bucket Explorer Team Edition:

If an Admin wants to use Bucket Explorer Team Edition, he/she needs to add himself/herself as a user in the Group.

If you are a team admin, you need to follow these steps to add Team Members:

  1. To create/manage users, click on Manage Users.
  2. Click on Create New link at the end of the list that contains all the current users. It will open a new page to add the user
  3. To create a new user, Admin has to enter Email Address of the user and choose Team Name, Bucket Resource or Object Resource. You can add a user into 10 different Groups at the most.
  4. Click on Create button to create new user.
  5. When the user is created, his/her password will be shown. Admin needs to send this password to his/her team member.
  6. When the user is created, an email containing the link for Activation is sent to the user. User has to click on the link in order to activate his/her account.

Step-5: Run Bucket Explorer Team Edition:

A Team member only needs BucketExplorer.exe , her email id and password to run Bucket Explorer Team Edition.
