Multipart Download
: Bucket Explorer now comes with feature of multipart download. This facilitates you to download a single S3 object as a set of parts. In download process, each part is a portion of the object's data, and each part can be downloaded independently and simultaneously. Multipart download provides you faster and concurrent download of S3 objects on your local system.

Steps for downloading object in parts :

Run Bucket Explorer as usual.
By Default Downloading file with size more than 32 MB, will be downloaded in multipart. So if you want to customize this default size you can follow the steps from 2 - 5 else continue from Step 6.

Go to Tools >> Advance Preferences

Here you find
Multipart Part Size
option in
General Setting
tab.

In this text box
[1]
set the size of a part
of uploading object.

Save Preference Setting

Run download operation as usual from Bucket Explorer UI.

Download process will be started in queue, and you will find multiple parts of the file with the size which you have set in above steps.

Set the size of a part :
-
The size you set for a part divides entire object into equal parts. Let's say if you have set size of 50 MB for a part and your object is of size 2.5 GB (2560 MB), then there will be 52 parts, all parts except the last one will be of size 50 MB, and last part will be of size 10 MB.

Bucket Explorer uses
default size for multipart download
as 32 MB.
