How to Install Bucket Explorer Team Edition 2.0?

start You can install a regular version of Bucket Explorer. When you start it, it now asks if you want to run it in Team Edition mode. You do not need to install a different version for Bucket Explorer Team Edition 2.0. end

1 ˆ MS Windows

  1. You can download Bucket Explorer Team Edition 2.0 from http://www.bucketexplorer.com/be-download.html
  2. You have major three choices provided to download Bucket Explorer Team Edition 2.0 according to 64- bit and 32- bit MS Windows Environment -
    • 32/64 bit Zip Version With JRE.
    • 32/64 bit Zip Version Without JRE.
    • 32 bit Windows Installer version
  3. If you do not have Java installed on your system then we recommend you to install Zip version with JRE .
  4. Click on download as per your requirement, from the section provided for Windows Environment.
  5. Read end user agreement and ( if agree ) select download located down the page, right side or top middle.
  6. Run or save file to your hard disk. Download takes time depends upon your speed of internet connection.
  7. If you downloaded 32/64 bit Zip Version With JRE.
    • If you do not have Java installed on your system then you can download Bucket Explorer with JRE.
    • Extract the Zip folder and it is ready to use. You will find a Embedded JRE with executable of Bucket Explorer.
    • Just double click on the executable Bucket Explorer to run.
  8. If you downloaded 32/64 bit Zip Version Without JRE.
    • Extract the Zip folder and it is ready to use. Here you will find a executable of Bucket Explorer.
    • Just double click on the Bucket Explorer executable to run.
  9. If you downloaded windows installer version.
    • Double click on the Windows installer. It will show you a wizard dialog to customize your installation for Bucket Explorer.
    • Run the Bucket Explorer  from Start >> All Programs >> Bucket Explorer.

  6. Run Bucket Explorer Team Edition 2.0 by double clicking on Bucket Explorer.app .

3 ˆ Linux Operating system

  2. Click on download from section Download for Bucket Explorer on Linux Environment.
  3. Read end user agreement and (if agree) select download located down the page, right side or top middle.
  4. Run or Save file to your hard disk. Download takes time depends upon your speed of internet connection.
  5. Extract BucketExplorer201012xxxx.tar.gz
  6. You need to modify either BucketExplorer.sh or BucketExplorer-jre.sh shell file.
  7. If have Java installed on your system then you need to update BucketExplorer.sh file.
  8. If you dont have Java installed on your system then you need to update BucketExplorer-jre-sh file.
    1. Follow these steps if you have not copied “jre6” to home path -
      • Download latest JRE, install it to your system and rename this folder to jre6.
      • Open BucketExplorer-jre.sh file for edit.
      • Update in place of $BucketExplorer_home with the path where jre6 has been installed in chkpath=" $BucketExplorer_home /jre6/bin/java" and export PATH= $BucketExplorer_home /jre6/bin:${PATH} variables.
      • Now save BucketExplorer-jre.sh file.

    2. Follow this if you have copied “jre6” to home path -
      • Copy the latest JRE from your local system to Bucket Explorer root folder & Rename it to ‘jre6’ .
  9. Now Go to Applications >> Accessories >> Terminal.
  10. Get into Bucket Explorer Home path.
  11. Run BucketExplorer.sh file on terminal.
Note- Command to run sh files- sh BucketExplorer-jre.sh OR sh BucketExplorer.sh
