What is Re-Certify Team Member for Bucket Explorer Team Edition?

Bucket Explorer Team Edition provides shared folders to the members of a team situated at different places with flexible access rights Administrator can give/ change/withdraw different permissions to different team members. The team members can make use of all the permitted feature of the Bucket Explorer .

Re-Certification is a process by which Admin can create new set of credentials for a Team member. When admin re certifies, Team.Bucketexplorer.com will generate new Authentication Details for the team member and the old ID file, security token and password are invalidated.

Usually Admin re certify in three cases:
i. ^ When secret key for the AWS account is changed. We recommend changing that key frequently.
ii. When a team member forgets her authentication detail.
iii. Admin wants to re certify any member for security reasons. We recommend this to do frequently.

Steps: To  Re-Certify Team member( for Admin):
  1. Go to team.bucketexplorer.com .
  2. Logon to team.bucketexplorer.com using your Email ID and password of accounts.chambal.com .
  3. Click on User setting tab/ Manage user link on dashboard.
  4. It displays a list of all team members in a table.
  5. Click on recertify link from the table to recertify the user whose information is there in same row.
  6. It prompts a box with user ID in a label and asks for Access key, Secret key.
  7. Supply accurate Access key, Secret key and then click on "Re Certify User" button.
  8. It displays a new Password and Token on control panel screen.
  9. Provide new credential to team member.
  10. New certification detail will be sent to team member via e-mail.
Steps: To Re-certify Bucket Explorer Team Edition ( for team member ):
  1. Run Team Edition and login using old TOKEN and PASSWORD.
  2. It will prompt for wrong password.
  3. Click on ‘Forgot Password/Recertify’ link.
  4. Now it prompts to Re-certify Team Edition.
  5. Click on ’Click to continue’ link.
  6. Enter email and new certification key provided through mail, on user verification window.
  7. Login to Bucket Explorer Team Edition using new TOKEN and PASSWORD provided by Admin.
  8. Now carry on using Bucket Explorer Team Edition as usual.

ˆ NOTE : When secret key is changed you need to Re-Certify all your team members because part of the S3 secret key is stored in the ID file. So, each team member needs to download a new ID file as part of the re-certification process.
