How to Rename Amazon S3 File/ Folder?

If you want to rename file/folder, you need to follow the steps below :

1. Start the Bucket Explorer and connect with your Amazon S3 Account .
2. Select Bucket whose file/folder you want to rename.
3. Select S3 file/folder of your interest from object panel.
4. Right click on selected file/folder.
5. Click on Copy/Move & Rename-->Rename option.
6. Enter new name in input box and click "OK".
7. If a virtual folder is selected to rename then renaming process will be started in queue window (if you rename single file then process will not be in queue) .
8. See total number of renamed/ failed and pending files in Statistics tab of queue window.
9. See the list of successfully renamed/ failed and skipped file in appropriate tab.
10. If renaming process gets failed then it retries automatically by default for 2 times.
11. After automatic retry if it is still failed then Retry button will be visible on Statistics panel . Click on retry button to rename again.
12. After successful completion of renaming process, close the queue window.
