How to restore versions of an object?

Bucket Explorer provides you a facility to restore your older version as latest version. Restore operation can not be performed if content of selected version object which you want to restore is same as latest version of that S3 object.

Follow the steps to restore older version :

  1. Run Bucket Explorer.
  2. Select any bucket on which versioning has been set.
  3. Right click on that bucket and choose "List All Versions" option or Click "List Version" object from object toolbar.
  4. It will list all version objects of selected bucket.
  5. Now select any version object which you want to restore.
  6. Right click on selected object and click on "Restore" option.
  7. When Restore is complete, it gives balloon tool-tip "Operation got success" at bottom left corner.
  8. Click on "Switch To Normal List" button from object toolbar, you will find restored object.


 

Note :

  1. If selected version object has delete status then restore operation can not be performed on it.
  2. You can also perform this operation from Transfer Panel .
