How to Set File Name in Metadata?

Bucket Explorer has a new feature to add filename in Metadata. To set file name in Metadata , just keep the keyword {$$file_name_without_path_$$} in the value while specifying key-value pair. When you save the Metadata then the above keyword gets replaced with filename.

Steps :

  1. Run Bucket Explorer as usual
  2. Select any file of native system from tree/explorer view.
  3. Right click on selected file
  4. Select “Upload with Custom Headers” option, in displayed context menu.
  5. It shows “Upload with custom header” dialog box.
  6. Enter any string for Key field and “ {$$file_name_without_path_$$} ” for Value field of Metadata.
  7. Click OK .
  8. It displays Quick Comparer Panel, select the Comparison Option and Action Type and click on Start button to start uploading.
  9. After uploading, select the newly uploaded file and see its properties .
  10. It shows property panel which lists all the Metadata attributes. You can see the Key that you have entered and file-name as Value in that list.
