How to Update Amazon S3 ACL in Batch/ Bulk?

Bucket Explorer provides new feature to update ACL on Amazon S3 data in bulk. Using this feature, you can update ACL for all the objects of bucket or all the selected objects. The process of updating ACL is performed in queue , so you can see statistics of the process .

Update Amazon S3 ACL for all objects of a bucket :
  1. Run Bucket Explorer as usual.
  2. All the buckets get listed.
  3. Now select a bucket for which you want to update Amazon S3 ACL permission.
  4. Click on Batch Operation icon -> Update ACL on bucket toolbar.
    OR
    Right click on Update Bucket’s Access Control List .
  5. It opens “Update ACL” window.
  6. Set permissions as per your requirement for updating Amazon S3 ACL.
  7. Click on “Update ACL” . It starts a queue having all the objects of the selected bucket.
  8. When the queue processes get finished, it shows the statistics report for the status of the processes.

Update Amazon S3 ACL for Selected Objects :

  1. Run Bucket Explorer as usual.
  2. All the buckets get listed.
  3. Now select a bucket.
  4. All the objects of selected bucket get listed.
  5. Select more than one objects from object list table for which you want to update ACL.
  6. Click on Batch Operation icon -> Update ACL on object toolbar.
    OR
    Right click on Update File’s Access Control List .
  7. It opens Update ACL window.
  8. Set permissions as per your requirement for updating Amazon S3 ACL.
  9. Click on “Update ACL” . It starts a queue having selected objects of the specified bucket.
  10. When the queue processes get finished, it shows the statistics report for the status of the processes.
