How to set Requster Pay on Bucket

Bucket Explorer provides a new feature Requester Pays. When you share a bucket of your account with any S3 user, if you have set 'Requester Pays' on the shared bucket then user has to pay for every operation she did on that shared bucket .

Follow the steps to set Requester Pays on Shared Amazon S3 Bucket

  1. Start the Bucket Explorer and connect with your Amazon S3 Account .
  2. Select Bucket for which you want to set Requester Pays.
  3. Right click on bucket and select option "Update Bucket's Requester Pays" -> "Set" .
  4. It will display a message on screen as "Requester Pay has been set successfully for bucket :< Bucket Name >"

    5. You can also remove Requester pays from bucket if you no longer want to charge other users for anyoperation on that shared S3 bucket.

Follow the steps to remove the Requester Pays

  1. Select Bucket for which you have set Requester Pays.
  2. Right click on bucket and select option " Update Bucket's Requester Pay" -> "Remove" .
  3. It will display a message on screen as " Are you sure you want to remove RequesterPay? " .
  4. Click on "Yes" to proceed.
  5. It will display a message "Requester Pay has been removed for bucket :< Bucket Name >"
