Browsers, usually, do not allow you to open and read files like –doc., gif etc. , and if you want to do so, you have to download the files first. But, instead, if you use the ‘ Upload as HTML’ option of the Bucketexplorer, you can easily open and read such files on the browser without having to download them. All you have to do is just upload the files as HTML
This is how you can carry out the operation
- Select a bucket.
- . Select the file(s) from the local explorer view, and right click to choose the option “Upload as HTML”.

- After uploading, you can view the contents of the file(s) on the browser.
Upload with Custom Header :
Amazon stores metadata information like file type, creation date, modified date etc.
with the files. You can store your personal information like name, company name, phone numbers also, so that you can distinguish your files from the others.
If you want to store the metadata information of a file like the ones mentioned above, you can upload the file with Custom Headers.
To carry out this operation, just follow the instructions given below :
- Select the bucket.
- Select the file(s) from the local explorer view, and right click to choose option “Upload with Custom Headers”.

- Specify the header name and value that you want to store with your file(s).
- You can view this header information by selecting these files from Amazon. Right click to choose the option “Properties”.
Create Folder :
This option creates the folder just like explorer view.
To carry out this operation, just follows the steps given below:-
- Right click on the local explorer view and choose the option “Create Folder”.

Refresh :
This option is used to refresh the listing of files and folders.
To carry out this operation, just follow the follow the steps given below:-
- Select the folder and right click to choose the option “Refresh”.

Rename :
This option is used for renaming the file or folder name.
To carry out this operation, just follows the steps given below:-
1. Select the file or folder and right click to choose the option “Rename”.

Properties :
This option shows the information related to the file or folder, like file name, type of file , size, location, modified date etc.
To carry out this operation, just follow the steps given below:-
1. Select the file or folder and right click to choose option “Properties”.

Upload :
Upload option is used for storing file(s) or folders on Amazon.
To carry out this operation, just follows the steps given below:-
1. Select the bucket.
2. Select the file(s) or folder and right click to choose the option “Upload”.
