How to List CloudFront Distributions (LIST Distribution)?

In AWS CloudFront, your data is organized into Distributions. A distribution is a link between an Amazon S3 bucket (the origin server) and a domain name (which Amazon CloudFront assigns). You use this new domain name in place of the standard Amazon S3 references.

Distribution Listing: You can see all distribution created on a Bucket using Distribution Listingwith complete details. From there, you can also modify and create new distribution for the desired bucket.

You can list CloudFront distributions, by sending Http GET Distribution Request, in one of the two ways explained below:
  1. List Distribution using GET Distribution Rest API: If you are a programmer, you can write your own code to list CloudFront distribution using GET Distribution REST API.
  2. List Distribution using Bucket Explorer: If you do not want to write code, you can easily list distribution using Bucket Explorer with few mouse clicks.

List Distribution using GET Distribution Rest API :

To list the download distributions created within your AWS account, you do a GET on the 2013-05-12/distribution resource. By default, your entire list of distributions is returned in one page. If list is long then MaxItems and Marker parameters are used.

Syntax: List Download Distribution

GET /2013-05-12/distribution?Marker=value&MaxItems=value HTTP/1.1
Host: cloudfront.amazonaws.com
Authorization: AWS authentication string
Date: time stamp
Other required headers

Syntax: List Streaming Distribution

GET /2013-05-12/streaming-distribution?Marker=value&MaxItems=value HTTP/1.1
Host: cloudfront.amazonaws.com
Authorization: AWS authentication string
Date: time stamp
Other required headers
