Do you store my AWS keys to authenticate the team members in Bucket Explorer Team Edition 2.0?
".
We do not store your AWS keys. The AWS keys are partially stored in the ID file, which only resides on the desktop computer of the team member and the other part is created using the token, email & password combination, which only your team member knows. (So, part of it is stored encrypted on the desktop and part of it is in their head in an obfuscated form). It is very difficult for the team member to recreate that security key and use it directly with another S3 client, but it’s not impossible for a hacker. That’s why we recommend that you only share the bucket with people whom you can trust.
