How to change the Amazon S3 ACL permissions?

You can update the Amazon S3 ACL permissions for both bucket and its objects
To change the bucket’s ACL, there are two ways:-
  • Select the Bucket for which the ACL has to be changed, click on the ACL(s) on Bucket’s toolbar.
  • Right click on the Bucket for which the ACL has to be changed, click on the Update Bucket’s Access Control List option from the popup menu.
  • Change the permission for its users.

To change the Object’s ACL, there are two ways:-
  • Select the object(s) of the specified Bucket for which the ACL has to be changed, click on the ACL(s) on Object’s toolbar.
  • Right click on the object for which the ACL has to be changed, click on the Update File’s Access Control List option from the popup menu.
  • Change the permission for its users.

Note:- Bucket Explorer provides another feature to update ACL as a batch operation, using this feature you can update the acl’s for all objects or number of selected objects of any specified bucket.
