How to use patch installation for windows?

After successful downloading of Bucket Explorer Windows patch, such as Bucket-Explorer-$release version$-setup.exe, if you install patch, then it asks to Uninstall the older version, if already installed. If you don't uninstall the older version, then it renames the older version with prefix "<Current Date>" asks install where original Bucket Explorer was installed. When you specify the type, it will rename the old BucketExplorer.exe and extract the new one in its place.

 

  1. Bucket Explorer.exe should not be in use when running this patch ( i.e. bucket explorer should be Logged Off )
  2. After the patch installation is done, please verify that you should see an exe by name $Current Date$_BucketExplorer.exe which is an old version and renamed to Current Date such as $Current Date$_BucketExplorer.exe , just to keep a backup.
  3. Verify the new BucketExplorer.exe's size.
