When folder sync comes online, one feature that would be helpful is the ability to analyze the local source and the destination bucket and only report the difference.
Included in the report might also be an estimate of time to upload new files. The estimate could a generic average (less accurate) or it could even be based on historical performance of that specific client's uploads to S3 in the past (more accurate over time).
I really appreciate this app. Bucket Explorer continues to be the most reliable way for me to work with my S3 data.
Thanks! Louis |

| One more thought... After analyzing for diff, in addition to the report, maybe unique objects could be color coded in the folder views? Orphans would be one color, modified files another color, and identical files would display normally? |

Louis:
Thanks for the feedback. The "diff" is something that we plan to add very soon. We have all the code in the backend from day one, we just need to add some nice UI on top of it.
Approx upload time is something that will not happen soon. We will add that when we add queuing support for uploads. Currently we don't create a list of all the files that need to be uploaded because that can take time if there are "a lot" of files to be uploaded. We read one file at a time and upload it. So, we have no way to know about overall how much more data needs to be uploaded, to predict the remaining time. We will add that, but we need to do it without affecting the current levels of performance, so it will take some time (probably couple of months).

Congratulation on moving to commercial release! Although my feedback comments in beta were modest contributions at best if indeed any at all, would you consider giving me an activation code? I really like Bucket Explorer.
Happy New Year!

Your feedback was very valuable. We have already implemented most of it in the next release. Please look at your email for some further details on getting the Free license.
