Hey all,
I am trying out bucket explorer and find it to be great.
Some background for you so you can understand why I would like this feature:
Sometimes I may have a fair bit to upload - gigabytes. This is because I take photos and they are raw format. Not uncommon to have a few hundred 15MB files to upload from just an hours photography. (And Im just stuffing around for fun - hate to think what the pros have to deal with!). And as my upload speed is 1Mbps it can take a while to upload everything.
One feature I would love to have - and Im not sure if its there but I am missing it, is so that when I select to upload or download something, it is added to a visible queue. So that if I turn my PC off and then back on, restart bucket explorer, it kicks off from where it last got to in the queue.
This would allow me to upload GB's over a few days if needed, not have to either leave the PC on or alternatively have to work out where it left off then manually go to re-upload those files not done yet.
Ideally the queue should be visible (something akin to the queue when you go to upload or download multiple files in Globalscape CuteFTP program would be ideal). Then you can remove things from it, check status, see how many there are to go etc.
It would also be handy if it would calculate a rough estimated time to completion of the queue and also each file, based on recent speeds and how many MB of data is left to go. Its pretty basic maths to do that bit.
Fantastic app though guys....Im fast starting to think I wont need the Firefox plugin S3 Organizer much longer.
