Using Bucket Explorer for Automated Backups???

Postby John W. Lonberger on Fri May 16, 2008 12:43 am

Can Bucket Explorer be driven via a script to automatically copy files from our local site to Amazon. Need this to be an unattended function. It's such an obvious business need that I guessing it is, but I have seen nothing that says it can.

Yes. Version 2.0 includes a command line version called Bucket Commander. It can be run from Schedular / cron in an automated, unattended way.

Here is the stub -> will expand this documentation more in next few days, but it should get you started.

You don't need to remember this URL. If you run bucketcommander with any argument, which is not valid, it will open this help text from the web site automatically.
